Day 362: Polaroid!

Jomar and Maria came to my house today to hang out. After eating pizza that Jomar ordered (thank you! :) and catching up with each other, we decided to watch Black Swan. That movie was interestingly creepy and weird. Apart from the sexual scenes, it was a good movie - it kept you guessing and wondering.

Anyway, I'm finishing the night by playing Assassins Creed: Brotherhood!

Day 361: Telephone

Talking to her mother on the phone! It's really cute the way she tries to make a conversation.

Anyway, I couldn't go on the game day a few friends of mine planned out because I had to baby sit Arielle. SO I decided to play Assassins Creed: Brotherhood for a few hours instead. This game is a little addictive -__-

Day 360: Family Photoshoot

So I missed out on Kids for Christ's Fellowship and Honouring night because my family had to go get a family photoshoot. Eh, it sucks but hey I'm continuing on for the second year so I hope I won't miss it next time!

Day 359: Pencils!

So I cleaned areas of my room today and found these pencils. I really have no clue what to do with them. I remember the last time I cleaned, I saw these pencils too but decided to put them away somewhere in my room. I have a lot of other pencils already and I don't use these kinds anymore (I use mechanical pencils and the branded staedtler pencils for drawing). Anyway, to finally get rid of this frustration I decided to throw them away for good. Well, I put them on the recycling box and I think my uncle might have picked those up.. not sure but I'm glad they are out of my reach now.

Day 358: Unexpectedly Fun

I wasn't going to go to my parent's household Christmas party tonight because I wanted to watch the Big Bang Theory and play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood instead. My brother didn't even feel like going either. BOY I'M GLAD I CAME! Omgoodness, it was actually very fun! I loved the games they set out, it was one of the most fun times (beside the G.O.B Christmas Party) I've had in a while! Who knew adults could be so fun? LOL obviously I'm just joking. I find it funny how there's such a gap between teenagers and adults. Like, teenagers tend to gossip. And to think that our parents did the same thing when they should be the ones setting good examples to us. But actually, they too gossip!

Anyway, the last game was Chubby Bunny. I forced and then encouraged (lol) my brother to join in. I told him if he goes, I'd go too. It turns out, he exceeded everyone else's number of marshmallows in their mouths! The prize? A $50 card for this restaurant whose name I forgot. Anyway, I'm really glad I came tonight :D

Day 357: Christmas Morning

Opening the presents time! Nathaniel got a lot of presents from his aunts and uncles! You should've seen just how happy and smiley he was. He even clapped his hands due to the joy of opening the presents and seeing a new toy in front of him! I can't wait when I finish school/have a career and buy him and Arielle presents... then telling their friends that I was the one who got it for them haha.

Day 356: Christmas Eve

We had a little family photoshoot. We all were supposed to wear red but my parents decided not to and Nathaniel was wearing green already. Anyway, this Christmas we didn't celebrate it with other people, just our family. It's not as lively, but I'm thankful that we all celebrated it with each other. I wonder how my relatives are celebrating Christmas back in the Philippines.. oh gosh, I can't wait until we go vacationing there! My mom says the next time we come back, we'll go back during Christmas vacation. AWWW YEEE. I can't wait!

Day 355: A Very G.O.B Christmas

BEST. GOB. CHRISTMAS. PARTY. EVAAR. Today was filled with so much fun and getting to know each other. I took a lot of pictures, so the memories will be somewhat permanent. I guess I don't need to say everything here for me to remember, the pictures will help remind me. But one of the favorite things we did today was when we played the questions game. I found out some things about my friends I didn't know.. err probably forgot about. We had a ginger bread house contest and even though both Charlotte and I were "artists", ours was the ugliest LOL. We messed up with our icing bag and so everything after that became messy. We did many things, and I'm so glad we made it work for this year. This was pretty much our first official G.O.B Christmas Party 2010. The only one missing though? Chinenye, she had to leave early. Oh wells, hopefully we get to do this again next year. THANKS GUYS FOR TODAY! It was really fun! LOVE YOU ALL! <3

Day 354: Sleep Over

I'm sleeping over tonight at my friend's house for our G.O.B Christmas party tomorrow! I won't say what the acronym is... we made this group name in elementary and it's sort of lame now lol. And because they don't want to change it, well then it stays as it is.
So here I am 10 o'clock at night at Sunridge mall reading a book on the kids area... alone. One of my friends is still wrapping gifts (volunteering) and the other went to the dollar store. I was enjoying the moment actually, just reading there at night without a care of what other people think. I like days like these. After that we went to Superstore to buy some things we need for tomorrow. Then picked up another friend and went straight to Jill's house. What did we do the rest of the night? Wrapped more presents and then watched a movie late late late at night (actually it was around 1 in the morning). I stopped halfway because two of them fell asleep and told the other we'd finish it later in the morning lol.

Day 353: Zoolights

Nikol from my school's YMCA gave us over 25 tickets to go to Zoolights! It was unexpected because we thought only the extreme leaders would go, then she gave us more! Unfortunately, her husband got into a car accident but he wasn't hurt thank goodness! So Nikol couldn't go with us as she had to take care of that.
Anyway, we gave tickets to a lot of people. The tickets only lasted until December 30th so they didn't have to go today if they couldn't. These were some of the people who came with us. Some of them roamed around the zoo so it's not really full "attendance". Today was fun! Too bad it got colder -___- but overall? It was a day well spent :)

Day 352: My Donation

Last YMCA meeting, Nikol presented to us a little christmas tree with tags on them. There were different tags that were all for the family we adopted. In them, it gives us specifically the things we could give for the family. Some of us decided to get the gift card tag and a tag for the 14 year old girl where we have to get her things that could fill up a stocking. These are the things I'll be donating for her. I really hope she'll like these!

Day 351: Santa on the Elevator

My family went to Sunridge Mall today and saw Santa Claus waiting for the elevator LOL. Yup, he takes the elevator instead of his reindeers haha. Anyway, that's my mom next to him.

Guess what I got today?? ASSASSINS CREED: BROTHERHOOD! YAAY! Well, I only wanted it because I wanted that gamer inside of me back. Yupp, I used to be a gamer, then I started to pay more attention to school during junior high. And I think that's where my gaming days started to fade haha. Hopefully I finish this game instead of giving up... that's what happened with the first Assassins Creed game- I stopped playing because I couldn't figure out what to do next!

Day 350: Happy Birthday Charlotte!

I had a hard time deciding on which party to go to today- my friend's 18th birthday or the CFC-YFC Christmas Party. My mom told me that I HAD to go to the CFC-YFC party since she bought tickets already without asking if I'm busy on the 18th. And to be honest, I wanted to go to this party too- I haven't been active in a while. BUT I already had plans for today, so I convinced her to let me go to my friend's party instead.

So besides the long 2 freezing cold hours to get to her house by bus, I'm really glad I came! I got to meet some of her friends and ate some good food! AWW YEEE that was one of the things I was really looking forward to- since I was so hungry haha. See this cake here? Her VERY CREATIVE friend made it! OMG, this guy has a creative imagination, I mean.. isn't that cake amazing?? The quality's not that great but it still looks AWESOME. Anyway, I drank Mike's. That's what it was called. It had vodka. Before you point fingers and go "THATS BAAAD", you should know, there was only 5% of alcohol in it. And yeah, it was the first time I've drank a whole bottle. And no, I wasn't drunk or nuts. It was already opened for me, so I drank it instead of wasting the whole thing in the sink. And yes, it tasted BITTER. EEEW. Actually, during the first 2 seconds it was okay, then it becomes really bitter. >.<

I had fun today. I hope you like your gift Charlotte! And I hope tonight was a fun and memorable night for your 18th birthday party. =)

Day 349: YMCA/Boys&GirlsClub Christmas Party

THE DAY IS HURR! Today was our BIGGEST event yet for YMCA! As you can see, there were A LOT of kids plus their parents. You wouldn't believe it, it was like a zoo in the gym lol. I took a lot of pictures too, and I wish I could post some of them here, but I only post one picture a day so I can't do that. Though I have the will to do so, I'd rather stick to a picture a day haha. I really had fun taking pictures and although I didn't like the fact that I took too much (since I'd have to upload on fb and then upload again on e-mail- aah!), I'm glad that I had this opportunity to somewhat learn and "grow" as an amateur photographer. I'll talk about this "growth" after almost a year of taking a photo a day on a different post. Anyway, today was pretty great. Goodnight! :D

Day 348: Hero Project's REACH

Today was the REACH event night hosted by Hero Project! Hero Project is a group of students in my school who try to reach other students to Christ and their faith. We meet every thursdays during the first half of lunch to worship and have fellowship with other students. Tonight was our first BIG event and I have to say, it was a success! We had so many students that came! It was pretty awesome. If you're wondering, the event consisted of worship songs, a skit, a testimony from a student, a guest speaker, food/snacks, and fellowship. Since this is our first time, we decided to record the whole thing with two video cameras. I didn't do so well with recording one, I was more into photographing the people rather than paying attention to the video camera. Thus, there were parts when I had trouble taking the video camera out and putting it back in the tripod WHILE it's recording. Oh wells -__-

OH, and we also stuffed the bus with food donations this morning too. What's frustrating was how unorganized the collecting of the food was. It was so annoying. Hmm, what's done is done.. but still, it was really messed up as people didn't assign the collection properly.

Just writing it down to remember what happened today. :P

Day 347: YMCA Meeting

Before our Christmas event with the Boys and Girls Club this Friday, we had one more meeting to talk about the schedule and other things needed to be discussed about. We found that there were teddy bears donated for the kids and we all crossed our fingers for some teddy bears leftovers on the event haha. We put candies and other goodies on the girls and boys bags. We discussed about next week's plans and also our adopt-a-family initiative. There's a lot of new members too if I haven't said it already (Christine! The twins and others :). That's it really!

Day 346: Messy Table

Okay, so my table right now is pretty messy. I've been putting things on its wrong place and forgetting about it. I do that a lot. Once something is clean and tidy, the mess gradually comes back. But I wait to the point that it's so messy, all I would really want to do is stop what I'm doing and CLEAN. We're all messy sometimes. Don't lie, you know you've been there!

So what happened today. Oh, right. I'm still sick. If I haven't mentioned it already, I got a little sick yesterday and now my nose is running like crazy! I pretty much had to get up over 5 times for the tissue during English class WHILE doing a test! Thank goodness it was easy! PHEW. We practiced today for our Hero Project's REACH event this Thursday. I probably haven't mentioned that too. Hmm, some other time. You can point fingers at me and say LAZY but I don't care.. because we're all lazy sometimes!

Day 345: Christian Persecution

Click Here to Watch the Video

So I saw this video via facebook... and I teared up just watching it. It's unbelievable..shocking. You know we hear a lot of bad stuff happening in this world and sometimes we shook it off.. but when we see the real thing? It just breaks my heart that something like this is going on. I didn't know that there was still Christian persecutions in today's time.. I've never really stop to think about it.

If you can, please take the time to pray for those who are persecuted because of their religion.. or at least have them in your thoughts.

:'(

Day 344: True Meaning of Christmas

Nathaniel's first Christmas soon. When he grows up, I'm going to make sure that he doesn't fall into the whole "Christmas is about getting presents from Santa and having a Christmas tree" thing. Because it's not about that. It's about the birth of Jesus Christ. I was upset when one of the Glee characters said that the center of Christmas was the Christmas tree. WHAAT?! And I was even more upset to the fact that little kids are watching this show and think that Christmas is nothing more than getting gifts and surrounding a tree. Sorry, I know this can be argued, I'm just upset because the true meaning of Christmas is lost. It's true meaning is centered around Christ. Not the freaking Christmas tree nor Santa. This is my faith, and I'm sorry if I have offended you (if you aren't Christian).

-sigh- It's sad that people get fooled by big corporations and spend spend spend tons of money on presents. Oh don't get me wrong, I love getting presents too and I know it's also about giving. I'm just upset that the meaning is lost and replaced by advertisement of Santa's face and Christmas trees and having to spend too much money which could be spent helping people who need the help (homelessness, poverty, etc etc). More children believe in Santa Claus than Jesus now too. >.< Okay, enough of that. Goodnight.

Day 343: Fundraising Event!

We're so lucky to have had a lot of people donate their things for this fundraising event! We have so many clothes, tvs, a keyboard, books, antiques, etc etc! We did a really good job in getting people to donate, but we didn't do so well with telling people about the event. SO, we've decided to do this another time. Hopefully we can raise enough money to put smiles on our "adopt-a-family's" face.

Oh, and I'm not sure why the sizes of the photos are different, they are usually a good size but now they're smaller. I tried to resize them, but they lose quality. So just click on the picture to see a bigger and better quality photo!

Day 342: Preparing and Pricing

After staying in the art room for about an hour, we headed to pho to eat. This is my favorite, their house special! We then headed back to school to prepare and price the items donated for our fundraising event. That's it. :)

Day 341: Just Friends

I got a new mini calender for 2011. Well, I found it around the house and brought it to my room lol.

I think I type too much. OR maybe because we haven't talked in a while. Ugh, I ruined it. On another note, have you ever talked to the opposite sex and your intention was to just talk about random things due to boredom? I mean, just because we aren't the same gender, doesn't mean we can't just talk normally. And just because you're a guy and I'm a girl, doesn't mean I'm talking to you because I like you. If I did, I'd put more effort into getting to know you, and you'd probably notice it *blushes* lol. Nah, I'd brush it off and pretend I don't like you, then go home and smile a lot haha. jks. The point is, don't jump into conclusions and think he or she likes you, maybe they're just chatting because they want to talk to someone and want to know how that person is doing.

Then again, we can't help but to think that way sometimes!

Day 340: I Miss Christmas

I traded my old alarm clock/radio for this new mini RCA my dad bought for my brother. Shhh, he doesn't need it. LOL I don't need it either but I wanted it. PLUS, the radio is so much more clearer than the other! Now I can listen to different radio stations when I want! I guess this is a little mean... but he broke my big stereo so this kind of pays off lol. And he has my piano, and other things of mine. Why am I justifying myself?

It's sad how it doesn't feel like Christmas is near. As I've grown up, I've noticed the magic and spirit is fading. But truthfully though, I think it's because I miss Christmas back in the Philippines. SO MUCH MORE lively there as I've experienced it. Or maybe I just need to get out more and notice this city's christmas spirit. And for many other possible reasons too.

Day 339: Pottery

Not all of us could do this, so those who says they want to do pottery first were added on the list. There's a bunch of techniques involved.. and it's pretty hard! But all you really need is more practice, and you'll get better at it. Anyway, we get to do this all week, so I'm looking forward to at least get a little better at it lol.

Monday, December 6, 2010

Day 338: Jacket From Australia

My auntie from Australia sent this winter jacket for me. It's comfortable but it feels a little tight. Yeah I know, it's not even a picture of the jacket. But I found this part of it more interesting haha. I really had nothing to picture, so I photographed this.

Sunday, December 5, 2010

Day 337: Things I Don't Need

I found some stuff to donate for the Extreme Leader's fundraising event! I'm going to look for more stuff prior to the event and hopefully a lot of people come to buy the donations that strangers have generously contributed.

I think my appetite is back! OH YEAH. Last week I lost my appetite to eat anything. Once I woke up from a 2 hour sleep, went upstairs and saw some deliciously tasty chicken on the kitchen table. I was eager and all and as I took my first bite, my excitement drastically fell to 0. Whatever it was, it was pushing the food away and I was on the verge of puking up whenever I thought about the food. Weird, but it was like that. Anyway, those days are over.. I think. Hopefully I won't be sick this week!

And hopefully I get a new phone with unlimited text soon! :)

Day 336: 'Tis the Season for Giving

Our YMCA Extreme Leaders group decided to "adopt a family". We are basically raising money for a mother and her 4 children so that they can have a descent Christmas! So this meant that we had to think of ways to fundraise and eventually decided to have an indoor yard sale at my school! I've been asking a lot of people to donate clothes and old stuff they don't need so we could sell those to raise some money. To get more people to donate, Jomar, Jill and I decided to do a door-to-door thing. Jomar printed over 65 cards with info in it and then we gave those to the people who opened the door. After feeling comfortable, Jill and I parted ways from Jomar and did our best to get people to help. We did awesome actually! We got a lot of people who wanted to donate some stuff, hopefully they won't have trouble dropping those stuff off at school.

Anyway, it was soo cold. It took a while, but it was worth it. Hopefully we'll reach our goal before the end of the week!

Friday, December 3, 2010

Day 335: Bubble Wrap

Still wasn't feeling good today.. so I decided to go home instead of heading to the theatre to watch a movie. Arrghh. I'm not so sad, but I do want to watch Harry Potter in the theatre- big screens are always better than watching DVD.. unless you have a BIG screen T.V. >.<

Anyway, my cousin was popping this bubble wrap. She left it on the floor in my room and there were a few times when I got up and scared myself because I kept on stepping on the bubble wrap. Why didn't I put it aside? I wondered how many times I'd forget it was there that's why LOL.

Day 334: We Are Flawed

Yesterday I felt sick. Today I still feel sick. I hope this condition goes away soon.

I wonder how many of them are hurting? What they are thinking? What secrets they are hiding... we are so flawed aren't we? So imperfect. There's nothing wrong with that, I'm imperfect and I know I have flaws. I sin a lot. We all do.. no matter how much you justify your actions, in the end you know you've sinned. And it sucks because we keep on sinning, and God brushes that off and forgives you anyway when you ask for his forgiveness. I feel ashamed for my sins. Well I guess there is something wrong with being imperfect- sinning. But we're human, it's inevitable for us to sin. -sigh- Thinking about all my faults is saddening. :(

Day 333: Next Move? IDK

What to remember about this day... oh! Two guys from the UofC Schulich of Engineering came to present about the types of Engineering during our Math Class. I'm still debating whether or not to take Physics 30 next semester. I want to, but I have so much core subjects. Ugh, it's going to be so challenging >.<
