Day 149: Too Fast

I dropped the watermark for this one. Hmrmrm. Two more weeks of school. And a whole lot more to do outside of school. >.< Not sure if I should take summer school or get a job. The days are going by too fast..

Day 147: Camp Chief Hector

So I was 25% not feeling like volunteering for this Day Camp (?) for YMCA. Not really much of a difference to stop me from going, but there was something holding me back.. just can't remember what. Anyway, Jomar, Leilanie and I decided to volunteer by making sure that the kids have fun and watch over them and stuff. There weren't a lot of us, since we were the only ones who could volunteer and the rest were busy with things. Anyway, it was SNOWING again and so that kind of contributed to why I didn't feel like going. Then we arrived at Camp Chief Hector. I was feeling a little bit more excited since they said we might see some black bears and other wild animals. After that, I felt EVEN MORE excited because the leaders had British and Australian accents! Now I'm not going to deny this, but I find these accents really... cute. Haha. I guess I could say I had fun that day. And Jomar, I think Pikachu heard you before we went to that first challenge course.. since your whisper was soo loud! >.< lols. Alrighty, that's it, goodbye. :)

Day 144: Need More Time

More time to think, more time to manage time, more time to absorb new changes, more time to plan, more time for my family and friends, more time for a new commission etc etc. Just MORE TIME. I really wish now that the days where longer and nights are waaay shorter. OR instead of 24 hours in a day, why not 48 hours? THAT would be so much simpler in my case. *sigh*. I'm probably going to post things at a later time. But I will however try to post new pictures on the right day. I guess I'll have to change the dates on my post options.

P.S: I have not missed a day of taking photos and so if you are just starting to read my 365 blog, I hope you know that I've only changed the dates to match the proper day I took the picture. Sorry if I might not get to post new photos on a certain day. >.<

Day 143: In the Backyard

My little cousin wanted to come along with me to my backyard. I wasn't going to let her go, but then I thought maybe this is my chance to take some candid shots of her. Though there were many candid shots I took already from before, I didn't really had one with the expression that she's showing in this picture. If you were wondering why she's laughing, it's because she blew the dandelion towards me. She found my attempt to dodge the dandelion funny and so I took multiple shots just in case one gets blurry hehe. Enjoy her cute little hilarious smile! :D

Day 142: Cloudy Day

During my washing of the dishes earlier today, Arielle made me feel optimistic and so I suggested to her mom if we could go walk to 7-eleven and buy some ice cream. I also suggested that after buying some ice cream, we should go to the park and take some pictures. And so we headed there with my brother. My bro actually had to back down since his head started to feel weird. And so me and Arielle's parents continued on walking. Before we were even close to 7-eleven, they decided to go to Wendy's instead and eat there. And so we did! As we walked I took some pictures of them together as a family and also took some pictures of the sky. I really like this picture, there were so many clouds! Enlarge it to get a better view. Hope you guys like :-)

Day 141: Too Much Noise

I took this picture this morning without realizing that there was too much noise. I should have changed the settings but since these kids moved too much I took a chance and took some pictures. The result isn't as bad, but the noise makes it so. Oh wells. Anyway, we are having a party today for my mom since her birthday is tomorrow. It was supposed to be a surprise but since there was no way we could prepare food without her knowing about it, my auntie decided to tell her. At least this is what I think. Hmrmrm. I should really finish my Life of Pi assignment before tomorrow. Deeng. And then watch a movie as a reward? lol ahaha, I shall try that.

Day 140: Butterfly or Moth?

I went to my backyard again today and saw this white butterfly... or is it a moth? lol Man, I fail at recognizing things! This was pretty sudden though, since I actually planned to photograph something else but then I saw this little butterfly flying around. After I managed to put it on my finger, I accidentally squished (barely) one of it's arms. It became frightened and flew away. *sigh* I had a good idea on the composition but then I had to be too excited and scared it away :( Bleeeeh, whatever. Maybe next time.

Day 139: In My Own World

When I went to the living room while holding my baby brother, I saw my little cousin sleeping like this. I wasn't going to bother her but then I thought it would make a good picture! Hehe, so I gave Nathaniel to my other brother and ran to get the camera. I wonder if she's dreaming? You know what I dislike most when I dream? Not knowing that I am actually dreaming.. even though the most impossible and weirdest things happen. lol. Probably because after a "few minutes" of being in that dream, I become used to the surroundings.. and bam, my own little world becomes unrealistically real.. if you know what I mean.

Day 138: At Jomar's House

After school, Kristine and I went to Jomar's house to watch a movie. We didn't watch the movie right away (Nightmare on Elm Street) since we were waiting for Jill. So to waste some time, we decided to prepare some food. Jomar cooked some sausages, heated this pizza and also made tropical juice. As he was doing that, Kristine and I decided to take some pictures of ourselves and of plants. Just around 5 minutes after the food was prepared and set on the table, Jill came. After eating we headed down stairs and watched the movie! It wasn't that scary really. But the mood made it so. lol Thanks for thee foood Jommaar! :D Today was a fun day, thanks guys! :)

Day 137: Sunset W/O the Sun

So today we had another YMCA meeting, as always for Wednesdays :) We discussed a few more events/plans to go and the best part is that three out of 4 (I think?) is going to be for the amazing zoo race (still need to be approved), going to the movies (and bringing one friend) and also the surprise event this June! I'm pretty excited =) This sunset picture was taken randomly. I couldn't decide for the picture of the day so I took random pictures of tons of things. I liked this one the most, hope you like it too :-)

Day 136: Rain!

After it rained I went outside again and took some pictures. I don't go out much but this summer I'm planning to roam around my neighborhood and take random pictures of just about anything. Hopefully I find something interesting too. Hmrmrm, anyway I had a post about rain on here. Check it out if you'd like!

Day 135: Diaper Change

Today was the first time I changed this little ninja's diaper. Hehe, good thing he didn't poop, or else it would've been a challenge cleaning him! Anyway, I should post more happy/smiling pictures of him, since he's always making this kind of face most of the time. lol

Day 134: It Would be Awesome

If I could capture a real one like this.. it would be awesome.

Day 133: Regional Youth Conference

Today was my first time to go to RYCON, which is an event held every year. To be honest, I was hesitating on going due to disappointment. I wasn't feeling the excitement that I was feeling a month ago. I wanted to stay at home and probably waste my time. Well I ended up going. I didn't want to waste the $20 fee and miss out on some things that might actually be fun. Also, I was bummed out that one of my friends couldn't go. And plus, I had to deal with things I didn't want to deal with. As lazy as I was, I am very glad that I didn't turn this event down. I met new people, felt better from the many hugs I got, got to eat pretty good food & got full, had fun playing volleyball and wii sports, photographed the most valuable picture (MVP), heard many brave souls confess the troubles in their lives and how they dealt with it, worshipped my heart out, and most importantly, I learned more about God and his Son, Jesus. Youth for Christ has really changed me. I've still got a lot to learn and discover, and so hopefully I won't be lead astray after this event. Also, I hope that the next RYCON will take place north of Calgary.. hopefully!

P.S: My team won the volleyball competition, ALMOST won the wii sports, and Leilanie and I won the MVP! It was surprising because we planned and photographed it during wii sports. If I hadn't told her to pose, we might not have won the MVP contest.

Day 132: Strange Plant

I've never seen this kind of plant before, unless it hasn't bloomed yet? Hmmrmrm. Anyway, today I was called by my art teacher to discuss a temporary job opportunity. She told me that there was a man who saw some of my art work from school and was interested in hiring me to paint a mural for his new salon. I was really flattered (haha) but then I became pessimistic when I thought the result might not suit his taste. I wasn't confident about painting a mural alone, so I asked her if the art committee could also join in for that job opportunity. Anyway, we'll be having an art committee meeting on monday so I hope that if the committee agrees, hopefully the man will hire them too.

Day 131: Happy Birthday Arielle!

I was going to secretly take photos of her while she was sleeping, but little did I know that she was already awake when I opened the door! It was kind of funny how I approached her, since it felt a little awkward as I was doing my sneaky pose position. Then I asked if I could take photos of her. To my surprise she was calm about it and said a silent "uh-hmmm". Usually when I ask her this, she would come up to me and see the pictures of the camera. If she agreed she would be moving too much for me to capture her still. Anyway, I felt that there was something different about her today. Besides the fact she allowed me to take photographs without difficulty, I felt that she feels older and have a teeny bit more responsibility. It's just a feeling.. with her age it's difficult to tell how much her attitude will change. Anyway, she's a good kid. But sometimes she can get on people's nerves... like every other two year olds out there hehe. :P

Day 130: Ladybug

After getting off bus 60, I walked towards my house wondering what I should take a picture of for today. I purposely got off one block before my bus stop to enjoy the weather while it's still nice (finally!). While I was walking, I looked to my right and saw a ladybug flying towards a house. Then I thought it would've been great to take a picture of one! I arrived at my house thinking that I'd probably take a lame photo. To avoid that, I went to my backyard in hopes of taking a nice photo of a flower. I got some photos of an ant on top of a leaf and was about to leave. THEN I saw this ladybug! Lucky me! Haha, I got really excited and took tons of photos before it flew away. I hope that ladybug will come back in the future! :)

Day 129: Onions!

I was helping my mom cook while she was holding Nathaniel.. I got bored of waiting for the food so I decided to take a photo hehe

Day 128: Birrrd

I have a feeling that I'll be taking a ton of bird pictures later on... haha, hope you guys won't get tired of seeing these ;)
So today marks the day of FREEDOM FROM BIOLOGY! WOOOOHHOO! I am really glad I don't have to deal with that, now I can stress less and have more free time for me! Anyway, my friends and I celebrated by eating at Pho... lol. That's about it for today :)

Day 126: Life of Pi Diorama

I actually finished this yesterday. I don't want to work on it too much but I might add more images before tuesday. Anyway, this is an assignment I did for English class. I chose to do a diorama because I was tired of writing and finding the explanations of Pi's actions or how he feels about being on board with a few zoo animals on a lifeboat. To be honest, I didn't want to write because I haven't been up to date with the chapters. I missed one class so I'm a few chapters behind >.< Gahh.

Day 125: Fire Drill

Every Friday my school's classes are shortened. We get to go to class from 9:15 A.M to 2:30 P.M rather than the normal time which is 8:45 A.M to 3:30 P.M. I love Fridays because I get more sleep and it's the last day of the week. Too bad for me, I forgot that school doesn't start until 9:15 A.M. So then I went to school pretty early and decided to buy a regular cup of French Vanilla to warm my hands and fill my stomach up. When I was walking towards the school and was nearing it, I gradually heard the fire drill through my earphones. Then I saw two fire trucks arriving at the front of my school! I was a little bit worried but as I kept walking and saw some people I knew, I found out that there was no fire. It was just a system malfunction or something. And so we waited for about 30 mins for them to fix the problem while I drank my French Vanilla and watched my friends shiver from the cold air. lol. Though I did share my drink with Joanne :)

Day 124: Art Show!

I had a good time tonight! The culinary arts students fed us well :) The art exhibition went great! The band was pretty awesome. The singers did well though there was technical difficulties. AND the dancers did an AMAZING job! They presented to us an amazing performance. Lucky for the art committee (VIP!), we got to sit at the front for free! This is how I was able to take a picture of these dancers (they were really close to us). Anyway, overall tonight was a success! I can't wait until the next art show! :D

Day 123: Before the Art Show

"Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now." - Airplanes by B.O.B feat. Hayley Williams
Coincidinkleeey, my brother and I were singing this song at the same time but at different places. I only know that since he went to my room and heard me singing it.

Anyway, we had a half day today and I only needed to go to one class since we had this well-known artist named, Sandip Burman present to us some classical music. This guy is really talented! What I liked about him was the calm and peaceful aura of his presence. This guy is very quiet but probably so that the students will ought to listen more carefully on what he is saying. Anyway, after that I played truth and dare with a few people I knew. My dare? Chew a piece of gum that a friend of mine was chewing and to also lick the floor. Haha, I won't tell you if I did that or not. You can guess though >:). After school I had to stay and help out for the art show tomorrow night. That is all :)

P.S: The name of our art show?
Des Mosaïques en Façades:
Les Couleurs de la Lumière
All in French! :-)

Day 122: Drumstick!

Just because it snowed again it doesn't mean I can't eat one. Snow is for winter darn it!

Monday, May 3, 2010

Day 121: Zoom

I've never really used the zoom button before with my dad's Canon, and so I decided to try it out. I was fortunate enough to find this bird at my backyard and so I took as many shots as I could before it flew away. Lucky for me, it didn't! Even though the wind was blowing pretty hard, I guess that bird really likes that spot.

Day 120: Just a Few More Tweaks

So I'm finally almost done this graphite drawing! The only reason that I'm posting it now is because I am planning to showcase this drawing for my school's art show this Thursday. The things I would need to work on when I get this back is the background and the shadings on the face. I'm not too sure if I should put bubbles on the background and also many of the shadings are too dark/light. Yeaah.. I know... I'm too picky. Haha, probably because I can see mistakes that other's can't..? Yeeee, that's it I think. There are areas on the drawing that I hurried on and left it for when I get this back. Unless someone wants to buy it... LOL if only! Anyway, I had a meeting today for Kids for Christ about Kids Village. I didn't get to do much since my partner and I don't have the script to work on (someone else has it). And so we were given another task to work on. Oh, and thanks to those who waited for me at the bus.. even though I ended up going home by car. >.<

Day 119: A Rally Full of Pep

After taking tons of shots, he woke up! And then 5 mins later, he cried. Anyway, I went to a rally today for RYC (Regional Youth Conference). It was basically to prepare those playing sports for the main event which is on May 15th. This event comes only once a year so I made sure that I would attend it... and bring along two of my closest friends! Too bad one of them isn't a member..which meant she couldn't get a discount for the fee. But that's alright, at least she'll get a taste of what it's like being in Youth for Christ!
